Artscape Theatre Centre

Artscape Theatre Centre, a Cultural institution managing the theatre venues, is situated in the Foreshore in Cape Town. It provides essential technical and specialised services on a semi-commercial basis for these venues and others around the City.  Historically, Artscape has been the custodian of the Maynardville Annual Shakespeare. Now in its new format as the Maynardville Open-Air Festival, Artscape remains fully committed to its continuance, providing valuable technical and logistic support for the venue and productions.

Maynardville Theatre Trust

The Maynardville Theatre Trust is an Arts Trust mandated with the guidance and future development of the Maynardville Open-Air Theatre, Wynberg, Cape Town.  The Trust was started in 1999 by Cecelia Sonnenburg and is comprised of independent trustees.  The current Trustees include Mr Pieter Torien, Mr David Sonnenburg, Mr Guy Carter, Mr Roy Sargeant and Mr Brian Heydenrych.

Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate

Diemersfontein is known for its beauty, informal elegance, and grace – an idyllic wine estate only 45 minutes drive from Cape Town and is situated near the Cape’s famous Wine Routes.

Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra

The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in Africa, having been founded in 1914 by the Cape Town City Council. It has a national and international reputation for excellence thanks to the high quality of its performances and the artists such as pianists Paul Lewis and Peter Donohoe, violinists Sarah Chang and Joshua Bell, and singer Johan Botha who perform with it.  The orchestra vast youth education and development programme includes two acclaimed youth orchestras, a music academy and the  grassroots training project, Masidlale which trains children from township communities.

Cape Town City Ballet

Cape Town City Ballet is the Southern Hemisphere’s oldest ballet company and one of the oldest in the world. Started in 1934 as the University of Cape Town Ballet Company, it became the CAPAB Ballet Company in 1964 and for the last 20 years has been a Section 21 company, incorporated not for profit or for gain, known as the Cape Town City Ballet (CTCB). The CTCB is renowned throughout South Africa and internationally for the diversity of works in the repertoire and the dancers for their inimitable energy and style.

Pink Couch and Siv Ngesi Productions

The Pink Couch is a young, sexy company, founded in 2009 by Tara Louise Notcutt, Albert Pretorius, Gideon Lombard, and Mathew Lewis. Since then they have rocked and rolled their way into the national theatre scene, as well as making an international mark with their debut show “…miskien“. From Stellenbosch to Grahamstown to Potchefstroom to Perth and to Amsterdam, this is a company that is most certainly going places.
Sivuyile Ngesi is a 25 year old actor born in the township of Gugulethu, Cape Town. Acting came early to Siv and at ten years old Siv toured Asia with Les Miserable in the role of Gavroshe. Although most well known as comedian and performers, Siv has produced extensively throughout South Africa and abroad.

Cape Town Comedy Club

The Cape Town Comedy Club, situated at the V & A Waterfront, is Cape Town’s only dedicated comedy club and rated one of the top ten comedy clubs in the world. The club has hosted some of the world’s most famous comedians including; Michael Mittermeier (Germany), Christopher Titus (US), Babben Larsson (Sweden), Dana Alexander (UK) and the best of the best South African stars.  The club also hosts numerous high profile corporate events. This year the club brings you Jesters in the Park
