What do I do if I can’t make a performance, and I have already bought tickets?
Please contact the Box Office to tell them that you are unable to go. Unfortunately the reselling of tickets is against the law in South Africa. To contact the Box Office during the festival, please email boxoffice@maynardville.co.za or call +27-69-792-6020.
Are tickets refundable or transferable?
Tickets are non-refundable, but if a performance is canceled due to weather or other reasons, you can transfer your ticket to another available date.
What time do the Food Market and Bar open?
The Food Market opens from 17:30 for you to enjoy a variety of food and drinks before the show. The bar is also open after the show for you to enjoy a drink and mingle.
What happens if it rains?
We always hope for clear skies, but we know that weather can be unpredictable. That’s why we have a backup plan in place. Each of our performances has a contingency plan, and we make sure to keep our audiences informed about what to expect. If it starts to rain, our first choice is to continue with the show, and we’ll encourage you to bring rain jackets and ponchos (no umbrellas as this restricts the view of fellow audience members). However, if the rain is too heavy or poses a safety risk, we’ll need to cancel the performance. In that case, you’ll have the option to transfer your tickets to another show. Cape Town’s weather can be unpredictable, so we can only make the final call on whether the show will proceed about 30 minutes before it starts.
Weather updates will be communicated via our social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram.
If a performance is cancelled due to rain (a final call will be made 1 hour before the performance), our Box Office will handle ticket reallocation or refunds as necessary.
Please follow our social media pages for real-time updates and additional details.
Is there seating provided at the theatre?

Can I bring my pet to the Maynardville Festival?
Pets are generally not allowed for safety and comfort reasons, except for service animals.
Can I take photos or record the performance?
Photography and video recording are generally not allowed during the performance to avoid distractions. However, you can take photos before and after the show or during intermission.
