Where do we park?

Maynardville Park is easily accessible via the front gates on the corner of Church and Wolf Street. Ample parking is available by the Wynberg Public Library on Glaren Road or along public roads near the venue.

Is there disability access?

We are committed to ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our patrons, including those with disabilities. We strive to provide accessible facilities and services to ensure that everyone can enjoy the magic of live performances without any hindrance. The theatre is equipped with ramps and designated spaces for wheelchair users to ensure easy access to seating areas. These spaces are conveniently located to offer an unobstructed view of the stage while providing comfort and safety. Additionally, our friendly staff will be readily available to assist wheelchair users during their visit. Please contact boxoffice@maynardville.co.za if you have any special requests.

Do you have a Box Office on-site and can I purchase tickets at the gate?

Yes. The Box Office opens two hours before each performance where you can buy tickets at the gate, but we recommend purchasing them in advance to ensure availability.  To contact the Box Office during the festival, please email boxoffice@maynardville.co.za or call +27-69-792-6020.

Can we bring our own picnic?

You may but please do not use the seating provided for the Food Market guests, rather picnic in the Park. No alcohol is allowed by law to be brought into the park, but will be for sale at licensed Market bars.

Can we advertise to your audience?

We are here to assist you. For general enquiries, questions, or festival-related information, please email info@maynardville.co.za. Our team is ready to help.

What do I do if I can’t make a performance, and I have already bought tickets?

Please contact the Box Office to tell them that you are unable to go. Unfortunately the reselling of tickets is against the law in South Africa.  To contact the Box Office during the festival, please email boxoffice@maynardville.co.za or call +27-69-792-6020.

Are tickets refundable or transferable?

Tickets are non-refundable, but if a performance is canceled due to weather or other reasons, you can transfer your ticket to another available date.

What time do the Food Market and Bar open?

The Food Market opens from 17:30 for you to enjoy a variety of food and drinks before the show. The bar is also open after the show for you to enjoy a drink and mingle.

What happens if it rains?

We always hope for clear skies, but we know that weather can be unpredictable. That’s why we have a backup plan in place. Each of our performances has a contingency plan, and we make sure to keep our audiences informed about what to expect. If it starts to rain, our first choice is to continue with the show, and we’ll encourage you to bring rain jackets and ponchos (no umbrellas as this restricts the view of fellow audience members). However, if the rain is too heavy or poses a safety risk, we’ll need to cancel the performance. In that case, you’ll have the option to transfer your tickets to another show. Cape Town’s weather can be unpredictable, so we can only make the final call on whether the show will proceed about 30 minutes before it starts.

Is there seating provided at the theatre?

The theatre is equipped with ample seating for all attendees. Just come ready to enjoy the performance!

Can I bring my pet to the Maynardville Festival?

Pets are generally not allowed for safety and comfort reasons, except for service animals.

Can I take photos or record the performance?

Photography and video recording are generally not allowed during the performance to avoid distractions. However, you can take photos before and after the show or during intermission.

Is there a programme schedule available?

Yes, we offer printed programs at the festival, and you can also find the schedule on our website or social media pages.
