We are delighted to invite schools to the Maynardville Open-Air Festival’s Schools Programme. Set in our iconic open-air theatre, this is a uniquely Cape Town experience that your students will never forget.

Performance Details
School Performance Dates: Every Monday & Tuesday: February 9, 10, 15, 16, 22, 23 and March 1, 2
Show Time: Performances begin promptly at 19:45
Duration: approximately 100 minutes with no intertval.

School Group Pricing
Groups of 76+ learners: R125 per ticket
Groups of 51–75 learners: R140 per ticket
Groups of 21–50 learners: R155 per ticket
Groups of up to 20 learners: R180 per ticket
What to Expect
Shakespeare Brought to Life
Maynardville’s production of Macbeth brings Shakespeare’s gripping tragedy into sharp, accessible focus for young audiences. Through bold staging, clear storytelling and emotionally honest performances, learners will experience a play that speaks urgently to power, ambition, choice and consequence.
Designed to support school engagement, the production invites learners to see Shakespeare not as distant or difficult, but as alive, human and deeply relevant.
A Printed Learner Guide for Every Student
Each student receives a printed Learner Guide to bring the classroom and stage together. It includes:

- Character breakdowns

- Classroom activities and reflection prompts
