The Salon

After the curtain falls, the VIP area transforms into The Salon at Maynardville, and the evening finds its second act.

Inspired by the great literary and artistic salons of Europe, where ideas outlasted the candles and conversation was considered an art form in itself, The Salon is where the magic of Maynardville lingers longest. The lights soften. The laughter settles into something warmer. This is the moment to stay, rather than leave.

Order from the dedicated Salon menu – specialty coffees, considered whiskies, a final glass of something well chosen, and let the night take its time. Here, strangers become companions, conversations become stories, and the distance between audience and artist quietly disappears.

VIP Terms: 

  • VIP Lounge upgrade access is available on the night through the Box Office for R300 per person. Please note that the upgrade includes Lounge benefits only and does not include VIP theatre seating, which must be booked separately on Quicket.
  • VIP amenities, including access to the VIP Lounge and premium seating, are exclusively for VIP ticket holders and Festival sponsors and are available on a first-come, first-served basis before the performance.
  • The organisers reserve the right to modify or cancel the VIP Experience at their discretion.
  • All pillows and blankets must be left on seats or returned after the performance. Charges will apply for missing items.
  • Private VIP Functions: Should you wish to book the VIP area for a private function, please request a call with our Front of House team by emailing boxoffice@maynardville.co.za. Private bookings require a minimum of two weeks’ notice and are subject to availability. The full VIP ticket allocation for the evening must be booked as part of the private booking. Private VIP bookings are available
    for groups of 15 guests or more.
  • No food service is available in the VIP area. We encourage you to arrive early and enjoy the Food Market as part of the experience. Food may be brought into the VIP area, but a R250 per person service charge applies to outside food.
  • Glassware is available in the VIP area at a minimal fee. Please note that glassware is not permitted inside the theatre.
